Black and White Image of Debbie Kropf

Owner and Principal Architect, Debbie S. Kropf, offers a wide range of architectural and design services including site planning, furniture design, and lighting layout. She has lived and worked on the East End of Long Island for over thirty years.

Debbie spent the past five years immersed in hospitality and wellness as the Architect for Shou Sugi Ban House, a destination spa and wellness retreat in Water Mill, New York. She worked closely with the Owner on all aspects of the project; from the conceptual site plan through post-construction assistance and custom furniture design.

Prior to designing Shou Sugi Ban House, she transformed single-story cottages and ranches into large two-story homes, developed single-family residences, and worked on small-scale commercial spaces.

Debbie began her career abroad in 1978, where, after a post graduate semester in Germany, she connected with and worked for a planning and architecture firm in Frankfurt am Main. In 1980, she returned to the states, where she spent the next 15 years in San Francisco working on resort housing projects, hotels, commercial office renovations, loft conversions and multi-family housing. Her California career included the co-design of the winning competition entry for Portside Plaza, a condominium project spanning beneath the San Francisco Bay Bridge.

In 1999, Debbie formed DSK Construction, to design and build homes both on spec and for clients. In 2009, she incorporated as DSK Architect and dissolved DSK Construction. Two years later she became a licensed real estate agent with Brown Harris Stevens of the Hamptons to offer a full range of services to her clients.

The combination of her knowledge of design, construction and real estate, she can assist clients in finding their perfect property to renovate, tear down or expand or understanding the unique housing and maximize the value of their current property. When not at work, Debbie enjoys the natural beauty of the East End, traveling, and spending time with her dog and three daughters.
